What veneers can and cannot fix
Veneers are a surface solution. They are excellent for some problems and the wrong answer for others.
🪥 Stains that whitening will not lift
Tetracycline marks and deep intrinsic discolouration do not respond to bleaching. Veneers cover them.
Chips and worn edges
Front teeth shortened by wear or a small fracture can be rebuilt to their proper proportion.
↕️ Gaps and small misalignment
Minor spacing can be closed. Genuine crowding needs orthodontics first, not a veneer over the top.
Shape and proportion
Teeth that are too short, too narrow or uneven against the smile line can be redesigned as a set.
How a smile makeover is planned
Facial analysis. The smile is designed against your lip line, midline and the proportions of your face, not against a catalogue of celebrity smiles.
Simulation. You see a mock-up of the proposed result. This is the moment to say it is too white, too long or not what you pictured. Changing it here costs nothing.
Gum line matters. An uneven gum contour will undo good veneers. If the gum needs reshaping, that is part of the plan.
Preparation and try-in. Depending on the material, minimal or no tooth reduction. You try the pieces before final cementation and approve them.
A word on shade: the most natural results are rarely the whitest ones. We will show you where the line sits between bright and obviously artificial, and the choice is yours.
What it costs, in dollars
Veneers are priced per tooth, so the total depends on how many pieces enter the design. A full upper smile is usually eight to ten.

Questions we get
How long do veneers last?
Porcelain commonly lasts a decade or more with good habits. Composite is shorter lived but repairable. Grinding your teeth at night shortens both, which is why we ask about it.
Will my teeth be filed down to points?
No. That image comes from old crown preparations. Modern veneers need minimal reduction, and some cases need almost none.
Can I choose the colour?
Yes, and you see it before it is permanent. We will give you an honest opinion on what will look natural against your skin and eyes.
What if one chips later?
Composite can usually be repaired directly. A porcelain veneer is replaced individually rather than redoing the whole set.
Do I need whitening first?
If you want a brighter overall result, yes, because veneers do not change colour afterwards. Natural teeth are whitened first, then the shade is matched.
Can this be done in one trip?
